The SCTE DOCSIS® Engineering Professional Certification (DEP) is offered in partnership with CableLabs® and certifies the knowledge of the interface requirements and operation for the deployment of DOCSIS devices over cable networks. Through the expertise of CableLabs, the SCTE has created a new benchmark for proving technical cable knowledge. The DEP certification helps broadband professionals better understand the elements and implementations of DOCSIS 1.0 through DOCSIS 3.1.

DEP Certification Study Resources
Focus on the topics in the exam curriculum that you need to study the most. You may rely upon local technical sessions and certification study groups at SCTE chapters to build your knowledge. In addition, national SCTE onsite and online training courses, vendor training, books and archived webinars as well as education at SCTE events, on-the-job training, publications and other technical resources may help prepare candidates for certification.
